Our experience in the Olive Valley was amazing. Jan & Marie are great hosts, very friendly and present for all you need. The house is very beautiful with lots of style and lovely decoration. The place is very calm and peaceful with great views and is just 20 minutes by car from the beach and supermarkets. We also loved the swimming pool. We will for sure return.”

Our family stay in Casa Olivia was excellent, the accommodation perfect and Jan & Marie's hosting was first class. Casa Olivia is set in a beautiful inland valley with great views and makes the perfect base for heading off to all the main towns, harbours and beaches within the area. The property had everything we needed for a more than comfortable stay and was secure and safe for our two small children. Highly recommended.

We were four travelers (two retired couples) spending three nights at Jan & Marie's place. What a lovely house it is--completely and beautifully renovated, three bedrooms and two baths. The grounds and gardens--flowers and fruit trees--are charming as was the terrace, where we ate dinner as the sun set. While about a half-hour from the town of Tavira, we all felt the house was close enough to enjoy the town, but far enough away to have a relaxing country-side experience. We also enjoyed the restaurants in the near-by town of Sao Bras de Alportel, about half a kilometer away. Thank you Jan & Marie!

Our booking of Casa Olivia was based on affordability and we were a little bit concerned about being out in the sticks. We need not have worried as it was the perfect place to stay. We were close to a diverse range of destinations and Jan was happy to offer us advice on places that were suitable for our three children. The house itself was perfect for our needs, spacious, perfectly clean and it had a touch of luxury which is very appealing! I had never slept in a four poster bed or had an en suite! Marie was away, so my comments on the host are focused on Jan. He was there when we needed him, very friendly but he also gave us the space to feel at home. The perfect host . We absolutely loved the countryside and exploring Portugal, which is relaxed, friendly and fun. I never understood why people went on holiday to the same place every year until we visited The Olive Valley. We will certainly return. Thank you!
