The house is a dream: thick walls and therefore cool even in the heat, equipped with everything you need as a family, with beautiful furniture without too much clutter and, above all, with so many individual favorite places that you don't even know where to sit first. We found the peace and relaxation we were longing for in this beautiful place.
Jan also always took care of our requests immediately, even small things in the middle of the night. We would come back anytime!

Our stay was just amazing! The Airbnb was very cozy, the pool was a real highlight, and the view of the surrounding nature was fantastic. The location was wonderfully quiet, and we were able to really relax. In addition, the host was always available and incredibly friendly. Clear recommendation!

We had such a wonderful time there at Jan & Marie’s place. The house is situated in a lovely and quiet place, far from the noise. We enjoyed the swimming pool with the magnificent view on the little Portuguese hills. Jan welcomed us warmly with a bottle of (excellent) red wine and also gave us very good tips to visit the region. Thank you very much!

We had a great time at Jan and Marie's place. The location of the house seemed ideal to us: close enough to the magnificent beaches and the beautiful town of Tavira but far enough away to avoid mass tourism and to be able to enjoy a quiet, countryside environment. This typical house, tastefully renovated, has all the necessary comforts and amenities. The cherry on the cake is the outdoors! A beautiful, quiet, flowery and well-maintained setting, not to mention the covered terrace, the petanque court and the swimming pool for relaxing in the evening under the watchful eye of Batman, the cat. We can only recommend this listing!

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casa Olivia. Jan and Marie are such lovely people and were quick to respond to our needs/queries whether online or in person. We're so glad we chose to stay here as the home had so much character in its architecture/decor/furnishings and even dinnerware! We loved Marie's garden - full of exciting things to discover - olive, lemon, and pink peppercorn trees, herbs and an array of veggies bushes (though not currently in season, still fun to see). The surroundings were also so beautiful, serene and relaxing.
The location is great - with supermarkets and good restaurants within a few minutes drive. Most places we went/were looking to go were less than a 25min drive. We loved Tavira city centre and taking the little choo choo train to Tavira beach! All so charming and we hope to come back again soon.

The hosts were very nice and always easily accessible.
The house matched the description and offered everything you could wish for.
The best thing, however, is the location. Here you will find absolute peace and quiet and can enjoy the surroundings.

We are a family of 5 with 3 young children and we had a wonderful time in this cottage. Jan was a very responsive, discreet and friendly host. Our children also enjoyed the visits from Batman the cat. The cottage is well equipped, we didn't miss anything. The place is peaceful and relaxing and the garden is beautiful and well maintained. We recommend this place to stay.
